Our Story

Welcome to our hive! Let us lift the lid and tell you a little story of how we came to be. As with pulling a frame of brood, this will reveal the story of how we've grown and thrived through the seasons.

Ironically, we, Bruce and Mylah Isaac, moved to Tatamagouche from Kleefeld, the honey capital of Manitoba. We both grew up on dairy and hog farms there, and bees weren't a part of our picture until 2003, when a local beekeeper offered to mentor us in the intricacies of apiculture. Today we offer 100% pure, unpasteurized, specialty honey, as well as healing creme, candles, and more!

All four of our children have taken their turns going with Dad on the night runs of moving bees since they were old enough to go along with pillows and blankets! Just as a hive swarms, multiplying and changing in the process, so has our family. With three sons-in-law, and two little grandchildren, we have grown and spread out in many directions. Now one girl lives in Kansas, one in South Dakota, one in Newfoundland, and our son owns a construction company in Ontario.

Each one was a vital part of the honey business until it was time to move on. One of these days, if you are at the right place at the right time, you will be able to see children again running around in little bee suits helping Grandpa.
